How We Work

Starting firmly with the end in mind, we design our programmes to stimulate and enable change. We recognise that the acceleration of change is now a constant, which means that organisational strategic plans need to be nimble and flexible to cope. Additionally, we recognise that leaders need to constantly reinvent themselves in order to be capable, stay relevant, and remain at the point of the arrow.

Leadership is the true Infinite Game, and it is constantly evolving in different contexts. It is a true journey to mastery that will always be just out of our grasp. As we learn, more our curiosity is stimulated to learn even more - but where do we direct our energies and our attention?

This is where we come in. We stay firmly on our customer’s agenda. We listen first before offering considerations. In other words, we meet our customers where they are.

Our approach is underpinned by many years of global experience working with people of all cultures, plus extensive research and study combined with guidance from thought leaders who offer great ideas for consideration.

Our objective is to deliver unprecedented engagement through the principles of experiential learning

There is a plethora of studies from McKinsey, HBR et al that support the contention that learning from training is not always applied back in the workplace.

We believe that once a theory, model or concept has been learnt, and importantly, critically appraised at a theoretical level, validating its utility by application in the workplace is everything.

This way of thinking underpins all our programmes and learning pathways, and leads to a culture of deliberate practice (see Peak: Anders Eriksson).

So how do we implement the benefits of experiential learning in real-world scenarios?

For example, we utilise outside space on our leadership programmes to accelerate individual and group/peer learning. Here are a selection of photos and videos to give you a flavour of how we solidify learning surrounded by the beautiful British countryside.

Further Reading

There are vast libraries of books and white papers suggesting many ways to approach change in various contexts. We reference many of these as part of our coaching and training models, and many of our go-to reads are listed here, on Don’s Bookshelf.
